Savage sleep

[5] I travel within myself: body in red sheets and conscience expanded and
alert. The clash of lids erupts innumerous shades of terror and my body hairs
rise. The game store is my jail to which only six a.m. has the key. And the
riper, he's my opponent. His hide-and-seek involves a pocket watch, two
columns and a grave. I'm frozen as he counts. Backwards. Outside, the batteries die. And so will I. Three...Two...One..."Here I come".
