The waiting
The hot air condensed, the particles suspended
*
The platform trembling. Anchors away.
*
The hopeless, floating. The helpless, standing.
*
A long rise and the empty wave.
*
The aching departure and finally, the lonely freedom.
*
Way down, waves crash. The distraction.
*
High tide in my eyes and all in my sight grasp for air.
*
The body tired, the mind slow.
*
The temperature drops. Depression of the skin.
*
All feet walk back. My heart populates the port.
*
Me, there and then: Presence in absence.
*
The tail of my skirt fights the wind: Angry dialogue.
*
My skin, crispy and unattended: solitude.
*
The space called ocean: my life.
*
God paints skies until you come: entertainment.
*
God paints skies because you were lost: forgiveness.
